Let us talk about Self-Empowerment and how it is achieved by building an inner confidence mechanism! Self-empowered means taking control of our lives by setting goals and taking actionable baby steps to achieve them!
When we strive to attain personal empowerment, we focus on our drive, we identify what we can control, and we keep an objective/observer, goal-oriented mindset!
Self-empowerment thinking involves a process in which we can gain control over our lives with better easement. We learn to find a closer link between the goals and a more effortlessly flow that works in our particular favor! Remember that we all have unique abilities that fit our mission in life!
Knowing your “Mission” in life is key! That’s the big picture! You can feel good about yourself if you go to the gym often and constructively make it a balanced healthy habit, right! It becomes a part of your lifestyle. The same goes for everything else that you want to achieve. You don’t necessarily have to wake up every morning and give yourself positive affirmations if you're already doing some constructive habit that benefits your life. Like making a smoothie or stretching in the morning. Or tea drinking and writing or painting in the morning, etc. If you’re not doing something that aligns with your inner voice, your mission in this lifetime, then you might not be as full of joy as you could be!
Self-Empowerment Thought Process or SET-P can come naturally as we build upon constructive habit forming mentally healthy choices!
Obviously developing a positive attitude towards our own lives is a game changer! We cultivate a positive attitude and outlook by evaluating our strengths and weaknesses, pursuing our passions, and trusting in our inner ability to listen to ourselves in what feels right. If we don’t listen to that inner voice that says, “do a light workout today, maybe just stretch.” Then we might overdo it and not be in the flow. Be Okay with it and yourself! The real battleground is staying in the Temporal Moment of Everyday! What is the flow of this particular day! Was that a good baby step? Yes, because now I won’t be too sore for the next workout. Very positive!
Setting logical goals that align with your abilities. Measurable, achievable goals are an important component of self-empowerment, and understanding how to set them can help you feel good about your achievements. If you want to run a marathon, start with smaller runs and then increase distances rather than trying to run longer ones on day one, right?
Having Positive Role Models and Optimistic friends. Sounds easy, right? Letting negative people fall away and surrounding yourself with positive like-minded people that are motivating! If you have to cut ties with family members or spouses, then that would be a hard consideration. But it might have to be done, at least on a temporary basis. Life can through curve balls at you and you’re going to want positive feedback. Whether it is from your own higher-self because you have cultivated a great meditation practice or from close friends, because you want to keep your self-esteem moving forward not backwards!
Practice Self-care on a daily basis. What is Self-care? Self-care includes any activity that you do for yourself to feel happy and healthy. It can include everything from eating right and exercising to treating yourself to a spa treatment, massage or a longer detoxifying salt bath at home. Scheduling time to relax and rejuvenate will make you more productive! Yes, it will, because daily stressors are everywhere. You will be able to think clearer. Additionally, being kind to yourself can help you be confident in your ability to address and overcome hardship. If your flow is off that particular day, then stepping back and telling yourself it’ll be Okay! Because tomorrow is a brand-new day when living in the Temporal Now! Learn to recognize that sometimes synchronicities might be that very next day. So, relax in the present moment or the Temporal Now! Relax, realign and rejuvenate!
Using optimistic positive word play when speaking or even thinking. Focus on what you can do as opposed to what you can’t. For example, if you want a better job say things like “I am going to take that new online course to add to my skills and then get a better job that fits with my lifestyle.” Instead of saying, “I’ll never get a better job.” Practicing self-affirmations and displaying confidence in your ability to achieve your goals can help you take steps to achieve them. The Universe always, always provides the exact things that you speak out-loud, the actions you take, and the brain wave patterns you send out into the aethers!
Being assertive can be tough if you’re an introvert. People who strive toward personal empowerment must be comfortable expressing their thoughts, ideas, and needs. If you’re invited to a dinner party but have an important presentation the following day, let your friends know you’ll be leaving early to prepare. Or if you and a co-worker are collaborating on a project, but you’re doing most of the work, which always seems typical, right? Don’t feel guilty about addressing the situation head-on and asking them to do their share or asking them what their better at in the project than you are. Maybe they are better at picking the right images and you are better at writing small phrases. Balance that stuff out, man. Then you both will feel confident and empowered.
Taking action towards a goal, obviously. Exhibit a growth mindset by being comfortable learning and developing your abilities. Understand that success does not come overnight but is a culmination of decisions and actions. If your goal is to finish your college degree within four years, list the actions you’ll need to take to achieve that goal, such as researching financial aid options, enrolling in an online program, and establishing a study schedule. Writing things down or even making a “Dream Board, Goal Board, Manifest Board, etc. can help with the truth in combination with your actions! Burn it into your mind’s eye!
Remember that limiting beliefs play a huge factor in building your confidence! Limiting beliefs can also keep you in a negative state of mind, hindering you from encountering new opportunities and life experiences while wreaking havoc on your mental health. That’s why it’s so important to not only work on your self-awareness and self-esteem but also recognize unconscious biases. Holding on to biases about others hinders your ability to collaborate effectively, ultimately impacting your quality of work and life!
For example, if your limiting belief is that you’re bad at speaking with groups, you’ll likely decline any opportunity to share your knowledge with others in a group setting. Or, if you have to speak in front of people, you may think you'll be more likely to fail. This is because you have preconceived notions about your ability to speak that limit your potential. Sometimes descriptive words that we use might not get our point across. But here is the thing. You practice by doing. You give a PowerPoint presentation several times and refine it each time. After eight years of putting together an inspirational and informational PowerPoint presentation that stuff is perfection! Right! You don’t quit at something your passionate about. It’s probably your mission in life!
